For my treasure chest, I used this picture from google as my reference image. This treasure chest didn't look too simple or too difficult to animate, which is one of the main reasons I chose this particular one.

Smooth Shaded Animation

In addition to the treasure chest, I added some Roman columns (from this website) to the background to make the animation have more "ancient-looking" ambience. Additionally, I wanted the animation to also have some fantasy elements so I added a whirlwind-like structure (from this website) that moves up from the treasure chest while it opens. I also added a galaxy texture to the background to further add to the fantasy feel.
